Carnival Miami Airport Check-In after dropping off rental car

Any info appreciated - we'd like to do the Miami airport check-in for our upcoming Breeze cruise. We'll be dropping off our rental car at the Miami airport and plan on using the rental car company shuttle to the port. Is this feasible? Do we have to notify Carnival in advance that we will be checking in at the airport? Where exactly is the Carnival airport check-in desk in relation to the rental car drop offs? We haven't ever been to this airport before. Thanks!

The kiosks are by the baggage claim. Just check in and head to the port. Check in can only be done the day of the cruise.

I think checking in at POM will be easier for you -- otherwise you'll need to head inside MIA to the check-in desks near baggage claim and then retrace your steps out to the car rental center to catch rental car shuttle to POM.

 

I would drop the car, get on the next shuttle and check-in at POM. Good luck! :)

We are in the same situation. Is the shuttle from the car rental area to POM through the rental agency or a private provider? I had planned to use a cab originally...

Our reservation is with Alamo, and they offer the shuttle (I think in conjunction with National, but I am not sure). I don't know if other car rental companies offer it.
