Is there a service fee for casino if you charge to your seapass?

Recommended Posts

I know there is a service fee if you withdrawal cash from your seapass in the casino, but if I wanted to just charge my seapass (thus charging my card on file) is there a fee? Or can I even do this? Would it be better to just bring cash? We prefer to travel as light as possible, which includes cash :p

I'm not sure I understand the difference between withdrawing cash on your seapass and charging to get cash. In any event, there is a 5% fee. If you bring large bills that don't take up much space, they will break them down into smaller denominations for free.

Sorry, I don't mean to confuse :)

What I am trying to say is can I stick my seapass into a slot machine and just play? Then whatever amount I use would just go onto my onboard account. Is there a service fee for that?

There is a fee unless you are a club royale member (achieved based on past play on the ship). There is an atm in casino or you may want to bring cash. Be sure to insert your card to get points, however. Points could get you cash back, or depending on your play level, even a rebate for the next cruise. Meet the casino host the first night and tell him or her your expected play level to see what perks are available. They will break up any size bill at the cashiers in the casino. Good luck!

Royal has no machines that accept a SeaPass card to play. You must have cash to play, or one of the tickets printed from a machine where you had cashed out. The only use of a SeaPass card plugged into a machine is to keep track of your points.
