Are FCCs transferable from one cruise to another?

To be more specific, we booked a cruise while on board with a FCC low deposit. It turns out that we would like to change the cruise to another leaving a few days later. If we cancel the first cruise and rebook the second one will our FCC act as a full deposit for the second cruise?

When we decided to cancel our Jan. '14 South america cruise and do an Alaska cruise in '14, I checked with our HAL PCC. He assured me that the FCC would transfer, and it did.

Yes -- we have cancelled cruises and moved our deposits and shipboard credits that we got from booking while cruising to another cruise.

But you may have to pay extra for a deposit if you booked a longer cruise that requires a higher deposit. We had to do that since the new rules went into place in October 2012 (or 2013).

Thanks for the speedy and reassuring responses! The new cruise is actually one day shorter, so it should be good to go.

In a word YES!!!!

We used FCC to book a cruise and later had to cancel. We were able to use those FCC's for another booking with no penalty or loss whatsoever.
