shanecindy21403 Posted January 8, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2014 We normally sail Princess and have also tried NCL. On boarding day we like to avoid the total mass confusion at the buffet so we usually go to the dining room for a nice sit down relaxing lunch. Does the Valor offer any other lunch options or is the buffet the only choice? Thanks
BigRed93 Posted January 8, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2014 Lido is only choice, but there are several options there. My favorite is to go one more level up to the fish and chips. If you like seafood, there are several options and it is rarely crowded. On valor, look for the mural of Rosie the riveter and go up those stairs to find the fish and chips. pghsteelerfan Posted January 8, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 8, 2014 Since Valor doesn't leave San Juan until 10:00PM, the Lido isn't as crowded and there doesn't seem to be that mass confusion. We got on at about 12:30PM, grabbed a bite to eat (no lines, plenty of empty tables) and a DOD then got back off the ship to walk around Old San Juan and see the forts. Many others do this as well. There are also a lot of folks who fly down the same day and aren't even boarding until later in the afternoon. Many others also find places to eat in Old San Juan.
