molly5673 Posted January 17, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2014 We have our 7 day western Caribbean planned and its for our 20th anniversary. Georgetown Grand Cayman , Cozumel, labadee Haiti , and Falmouth Jamaica are all our stops. Anyone know of a neat church in any of the locations that we can just walk into and get married? nothing formal just fun. Thanks.

cello56 Posted January 17, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2014 Since pretty much every church views marriage as a sacred sacrament, I doubt that you will find one that will allow you to walk in for fun and renew your vows. Perhaps you need to find a church of the same denomination that you currently attend and contact them in advance with your request? If you can find a particular church that you want to use, you might have your clergy contact their clergy with your request? Or maybe, you and your spouse could just find a particularly beautiful spot and read vows to each other that you have written. Perhaps a special bottle of wine and maybe pick up some nice crackers and cheese and make it a magical moment with just the two of you in a scenic location. Maybe download a song to your phone that has significant memories for the two of you? Either way, I am sure that it will be memorable and lovely! cb at sea Posted January 17, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2014 I would simply find a lovely spot and make it a DIY thing....no real need to spend money to set up a formal vow renewal. After all, it's not a legal thing! It's something you can do anytime, anywhere on your own!
PuterMonkey Posted January 17, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2014 I like the DIY idea =) Maybe you can convince a friend or two to cruise with you who is a registered officient if you want to make it more formal.
