How close to sail can you still book??

I was wondering, how close to the actual sail date can one still book online? Meaning, the cabins are still showing available and booking still open.

 

Do they give you right up to the sail date? day before? When do they close booking?

Online bookings close apps 24 hrs prior to departure +/- ah hour or two.

Thanks for asking this. I am hoping to do a 3 night bahamas (Majesty or Enchantment) on 3/14. . . I have never waited this long and it is driving me crazy but I NEED a great deal!

You might call the cruise line and see if they have a standby list. As long as you are cleared by ICE in advance, they may be able to take you if there is space available onboard. You would have to show up at the port ready to go, and may or may not get aboard.

 

A friend was on standby for a New Year's cruise and waited at the port. He didn't make it on, but a few others on the standby list did get aboard.
