Formal Nights

You can pretty much bet the farm that the first formal night will be night two. The second formal night seems to be either night 5 or night 6 depending on ship and itinerary and of course being a 7 night cruise. I have no idea about longer cruises.

 

One thing you can always count on is that formal night will likely never be your first night on board or the last night on board.

That's right....the 1st formal night is always night 2.

Usually true, however we have been on more than one cruise where the first formal night was night 3 or 4. Different because they were Med and South American cruises and we were in port on the second and sometimes third day. They have always been on the first sea day with the exception of 7 day Southern Caribbean cruises out of San Juan when they were on night 2, even though it was a port day.
