Not sure what the significance is, but I received an email from Princess outlining the dining options on the Caribbean Princess for a November cruise and the email was "signed" by Rui Salmonete Pereira. Since his name and photo appear on the email, I assume that means that he will be the Maitre d'. No? There is no mention of Francesco Ciarfiro whatsoever in the email.

As soon as I found out Rui was supposed to be on the CB for our cruise, I emailed him, as the Grand is "his ship". He is currently on the Emerald and says he will be on through January, and gave me the name of the maitre'd who is supposed on the CB when we are aboard.

 

Maybe Princess is going to surprise us with a different maitre'd or maybe they are going to surprise Rui in a few weeks, but given the itinerary of the Emerald, it makes more sense that Rui will be staying on board her.

Maybe Princess is going to surprise us with a different maitre'd or maybe they are going to surprise Rui in a few weeks, but given the itinerary of the Emerald, it makes more sense that Rui will be staying on board her.

 

Does Rui know who will be the MD on CB 1/22/17-end of Feb 2017?

Anyone know what happened to Jacques Ghennai? Seems like he has been off the list for a while, and the best MD I have ever seen on any ship, hands down..

 

 

 

Jacques was our Maitre'd on our Panama crossing on Island last year and agree the guy was top notch, hope he is just have some vacation time.

I agree. It would be nice to know when Generosso will be back and what ship he will be assigned too. I would also like to know where his sidekick Godwin is. They make an awesome pair.

 

We are on the Coral the end of May. Does anyone know who will be on there? I have not heard anything.

We are sailing on the Star Princess next week and received an email indicating that Mario Propato is the Maitre d'. Would appreciate it if someone would update the list for me--don't really know how to do it!
