gunnywife Posted January 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2014 Can we book a specialty restaurant in advance of the cruise? I don't see anywhere on the Princess website to do this. Thanks in advance for your help. Lynn
pusywillow Posted January 25, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2014 You cannot book until you are on the ship.
bichonsx2 Posted January 25, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 25, 2014 Lynne, I believe reservations can only be made once onboard. We want to do the same thing. We're going to book reservations for formal nights. We are not bringing any formal wear. Dressy casual is accepted. Shelley

gunnywife Posted January 25, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted January 25, 2014 Thanks for your answers. I was hoping we could book ahead because the cruise we're on (May - Alaska) offered complimentary dinners. So it would seem most couples would want to take advantage of the offer. Guess I'll have to go to the restaurant right after boarding. Just hope the line won't be too long. Lynn

Then the restaurants won't fill up with some that never make :( and gives a fair chance to everyone that want to dine in one.:)

Just hope the line won't be too long.Lynn We usually do the same (going to the specialty restaurants in lieu of dressing up for formal nights in the MDR). It's very easy to make reservations by calling the 'dine line' from your cabin once one gets on board after embarkation. It takes just a minute or two. We've never had to wait on hold or anything like that and have always gotten the desired days and times requested for our reservations -- As long as we did so before sail-away.
