computerworks Posted January 29, 2014 Author #27 Share Posted January 29, 2014 Well, there you have it... a quick overview of the Marina. Simply beautiful ship... not a 'sharp edge' anywhere. We felt quite at home. I will start a new thread with a Trip Report for our voyage from Chile to Tahiti in a few days. It is simply a matter of sorting thru...oh... maybe 4000 pictures to find the best ones that tell the story. I hope this helps pass the time for all of those folks watching the calendar and awaiting their cruise on the Marina... and makes the wait worthwhile. I dream of this view and will surely experience again...and I hope...soon. :p
computerworks Posted January 29, 2014 Author #28 Share Posted January 29, 2014 Thanks for the photos Ron. We are on the Marina in a concierge level cabin on deck 9 as well. The pics are great!! Thanks! I think that location is optimal and definitely worth it. The cabin is a comfortable size, with plenty of storage.

We felt quite at home. I dream of this view and will surely experience again...and I hope...soon. :p With exception of one cruise in the front of the ship we have always had that aft view and will have it for the next five cruises. We too dream of that view. Thank you for a wonderful photo review. Great job!

I'd love to! ..but it was tough being away for so long in January....still trying to get back into the groove of things. Yes, I use Flickr for the 'albums,' then only have to use the links (URLs) to the pictures for the posts here; I don't upload any images to CC. Aruba Posted January 30, 2014 #41 Share Posted January 30, 2014 Great photos! Although I only toured Marina when she made her maiden call to NYC and never sailed on her, the photos brought back many happy memories of our cruises on Riviera. One question: in the Artist Loft photo, the paintings that are displayed look like ones I've seen at art auctions on (seemingly) every other cruise line. Did O bring back back art auctions?? Did O bring back back art auctions?? Yes, although I didn't pay any much attention to them. They used the Artist Loft as a base of operations on a few days; also had auction sessions in Horizons and a rep in the main Reception areas on a few nights. > I taught the boys and girls at the Ice Cream Bar how to make an authentic black-and-white malted, NY style.< How about an egg cream? Ira, that would have been very difficult to accomplish. :p I was happy just to get the B&W....

dorus Posted December 3, 2014 #49 Share Posted December 3, 2014 The Terrace Cafe was a frequent haunt for lunch, and a surprising delight for dinner. This may be our favorite spot in the world... So it is ours! Ank en Klaas, we were on this same cruise. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
