Methosage Posted January 29, 2014 #26 Share Posted January 29, 2014 One more thing for your spreadsheet. I am sailing on the Legend on March 2nd so I have been following what is happing to the Legend. The Legend is heading to dry dock in 4 days. So if you want to update the spreadsheet with the improvements (since the next cruise will have them) here is the information on the improvements as posted by John Heald (posted on his Facebook jan 10 and I think he may have also posted this on his blog) "Legend. zumbaguy Posted January 29, 2014 #27 Share Posted January 29, 2014 Hi all, Although this is my first post, I have been reading threads here for quite a while and have found this website to be extremely useful for cruise planning. Since your insight and reviews have helped me so much, I thought I would share this spreadsheet I put together for relatively easy, at-a-glance comparison of all of the Carnival ships and their amenities. Can't live without Guys burgers? Want to avoid ships with Playlist Productions like the plague? Forgot which ships have converted to the American Table/Feast MDR menu? Would love to pick a ship with no blaring Jumbotron and that has a pool in the Serenity area? Hopefully some of you will find this spreadsheet helpful for these type of questions and more... I would love to have your feedback and any suggestions for changes, improvements or corrections. Please note that I have saved the spreadsheet in an older format so that users of Excel 2000 and above (or an alternate viewer) should be able to open it without any problems. Also, due to the size of each row, this will NOT be printout-friendly. THANKS!!! This is pretty awesome.

Paumavista Posted January 29, 2014 #30 Share Posted January 29, 2014 Love the spreadsheet......I made one to compare the three ships I was considering for our reunion cruise........ Pools were important to us on ship........We have a good group of children in our party....2-17 - I really like when there are separate areas for them to enjoy a pool or water works area (appreciate notes on which ships have waterworks). I like that you included which serenity areas included a pool.....that's one adult pool.......also when a spa includes a pool....another adult pool......when the main pool is the ONLY other pool my kids end up sharing the area with the hairy chest, limbo, horse race, etc crowd - I like it as much as the adults appreciate the fact that my kids have somewhere else - a pool/hot tub to enjoy. We decided on the Splendor...(haven't sailed yet)......due to cost (honestly a major consideration) - but it does have at least 2 other pools (one in the center of the ship and one by the large slide) in addition to the adult pool aft, and the small adult spa pool. The Splendor also has a "small" water works play area.....probably more suited to the under 6 group.......but I think my family will appreciate it! - - it just provides more room to spread out and provide different ages a separate area. LKYGSR Posted January 29, 2014 #34 Share Posted January 29, 2014 Nice job! I added filters to row 2, and in no time flat, I could narrow down my next choice of ships; starting with those that do not have a seaside theatre!

Trvlr37 Posted January 29, 2014 #42 Share Posted January 29, 2014 Thanks sooo much for posting! Very useful! We're going on the Dream next and I noticed that the spreadsheet says it does not have a T-pool. I was looking at the deckplans and saw it on Deck 12? Is it really there??? Thanks!
