Oasis - Deck 6

Good choice :) or bad choice:(?

Can anyone offer any thoughts?

What criteria with you would determine to be a good choice or bad choice? Kind of an open ended question.

Deck six puts you close to many of the restaurants, Boardwalk, Central Park, and the Royal Promenade, but is furthest from the pool deck, Windjammer Cafe, and sports decks.

We like upper decks close to the aft elevator banks which would put us at easy access to the elevators and mid-way between the things I mentioned.

Maybe if you could provide more information about your concerns or preferences it would help with better responses. :)

I have been on deck 6 on the Oasis, and will be on deck 6 again on the Allure this summer. I book a D8 balcony cabin, just aft of the aft elevator.

I really enjoy this location. As a previous poster stated, on deck 6, you are on the Boardwalk deck. You can watch the parade and various other activities from the railing on deck 6 that overlooks the Royal Promenade. When on the Boardwalk, if you go behind the Aqua Theater, there is a staircase that leads down to deck 5. This will take you directly to the walking/jogging track. There is also a nice viewing area for the ocean, and several lounge chairs.

The Royal Promenade is one deck below. If you are aft, you have easy access to the Main Dining Rooms, as they too are aft. The theater, Comedy Club, Studio B, and Casino are 2 decks below deck 6.

Central Park is just 2 decks up, an easy walk using the stairs.

The only areas you have to travel to are the pool and sports decks and Windjammer.

Just recently (Oct) off Oasis and had cabin #6662..it was a great convenient location..even though it was a balcony but got a great deal on it as compared to our usual JS catagory and part of the reason we decided to give Oasis a try...you can't go wrong with deck # 6 midship on this class of ship.

Thank you everyone. I was hoping you would all have good things to say. I'm happy now. Less than a month to go!!! Woop! Woop! I have never been on Oasis/Allure so I a trying to figure out this layout. I am trying to picture what Deck 6 this looks like. I have not been able to find any pictures. When we walk out our door, do we see the boardwalk? Is it a hallway? A rail?
