This will be our first time cruising with Royal Caribbean and we know nothing about it…We have cruised once with Carnival so we know a little about the basics…I'm pretty new to posting on here so please bare with me…We are looking at a 3 or 4 day cruise on Enchantment of the Sea. We are asking for all the information we need to know about cruising with this cruise line..Like what documents they require, we do have passports. What we can and cannot take…pretty much all the information you would give to a newbie!!! I am so sorry if this post should have went on another board or if this has been ask a million times..I didn't know where to look for it!! We appreciate all the information you can give us!!1

It's pretty much the same on all cruiselines. You will need either a passport, or (on closed-loop routes) a birth certificate and driver's lic. or other gov't issued ID.

As far as what you can take....if you're flying to port, you are limited by the airline's rules. If you are driving, the sky's the limit, really! No illegal drugs or weapons, and RCI only allows you to bring 2 bottles of wine per cabin. No liquor or beer. The "rules" say no other beverages, but they really don't care about small amounts of soda or water.

In reality, it's more like Carnival, than different, as far as the logistics go!

Do realize that Enchantment is a smaller ship, with the standard cabins being pretty small....not as large as on most Carnival ships.

You will love Enchantment of the Seas! It's my favorite ship. It's smaller than some ships, but it seems like most everyone that sails it has a special place in their heart for it!

If you go to the Royal Caribbean Board and search for Enchantment, there are all kinds of posts about it.

You will likely very much enjoy CC member Radio's review of his Enchantment sailing just a year ago:http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1760648. He invites us along on his 'LIVE' threads (many fans post in between his posts), and it is always a great time- including beautiful photos!

I have sailed on the Grandeur (sister ship of Enchantment) and love her size and decor- wonderful and very memorable cruise. Btw, Enchantment offers bungee trampolines! :)
