So far it's 11:37 and rt. 80 and the Lincoln tunnel are fine as far as traffic is concerned.

We're checked in waiting for our number to be called to go to pier 88 then one more line for luggage to be scanned.

Good luck everyone.

Have a great trip. We have about a month and a half. Can you maybe scan the summary of the dailies - the one that shows all 7 days on one page when you get back?

2 tractor trailers collided on the upper level approach to GWB on NJ side around 11:40 AM this morning, entire roadway shutdown for cleanup (still) - seeing it on live traffic-cams. Cars are re-routed & moving okay on lower level to GWB into NY (trucks not allowed due to height, etc.) - yes, backing up as reported on major tv-news.

You would think that on SB Sunday w. security heightened, that they have heavy duty tows & PD on standby and try to re-open as least some lanes & clear it ASAP.

Midtown traffic cams showing very light traffic, more deserted than typical Sunday, so 70,000 football fans heading to Meadowlands for a taste of winter for a few hours before kickoff. The rest of NY hunkered down at home or whatever - got more snow en route tomorrow, minor 1" to 3" expected so out-of-towners should be able to scramble out.

Smooth sailing to those on the Breakaway :D

Lol you are talking about a bridge run by the Port Authority…they don't think!

The bride was completely cleared and reopened in a little more than an hour.
