Not sure if this is a re-post or not but I found this video on Reddit. Found it very interesting to watch. Came in as the Norwegian Crown, left as a completely different ship!

The video is new one (it was also published as a video "news" article by Finland's biggest newspaper last week) but even they didn't do their background checks properly as the event actually happened already over six years ago in 2007.

Wasn't it the Balmoral which followed the route of the Titanic, in April of 2012? Of course, it finished its cruise safely.

If my memory is right this was the last ship stretched by NCL.

M/S Norwegian Dreamward and M/S Norwegian Windward were stretched previously.

Correct. This happened in the late 90's (97 or 98).

 

I believe their stretches occurred while everything was floating at the LLoyd Werft yards.

I don't know if they started it, but Royal Caribbean's Song of Norway and Nordic Prince were stretched in the 70's and Enchantment of the Seas was stretched more recently. It is a fascinating process.
