Booking Tips --Freedom of the Seas

Hello Everyone,

We have decided to sail on the Freedom of the Seas in Dec 2014. A few questions for experienced cruisers:

What is the best time to book to get the best price?

We are looking at a balcony room for us--and 2 rooms across the hall for our kids & 2 friends. They do not have to connect. Any suggestions on that? I will consider what is above us and below when picking the cabins.

Any booking suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You might haave to check at what age (childrens age) can you book a room alone for your kids. I think others here may be able to help you on this.

The best time to book is when the cabin is at a price you are willing to pay. The earlier the better as cabins will disappear and it may get harder and harder to get 2 together. Plus prices can also go up. We booked an 11 night a year ago and within a few weeks the price went up by about $400 per person. As the year went on it doubled. Some friends who were waiting for the "drop," are not going. You can always get any reduction before final payment. We booked Alaska. a month later the price dropped, we got the drop. A couple weeks later it dropped again, we got the drop. The cruise is in May. Now the price is up over $200 per person. If we had waited, we wouldn't go. As it was, we hit the low to date. Even if it drops after final payment, you may be able to upgrade to a better cabin.
