Easter baskets ?

Hi! Has anyone ever cruised over Easter? I know its a longshot..but was wondering if NCL sells Easter Baskets to be delivered to the cabins?? :D

No, they don't.

You might want to do what we did on a trip to Disney.

I made up Easter Baskets and packed them in a separate suitcase that went straight into a closet. That night the Easter Bunny snuck into the room and set them out.

Just know that neither of my kids even remembers those baskets. All they remember was Disney World...;)

No, but you can pack your own. I did this for years. The easter bunny always found us, no matter which ship we were on :D AND he hid eggs, too!

Same here. Our only Easter cruise, the Easter bunny had found our cabin when I awoke Easter morning.

Thanks for the replies! Was hoping not to bring the basket through the airport, to hotel for 2 days, then hide on ship for a couple of days!

But the Easter Bunny never fails and will find a way!

Just put it in your suitcase. If you only have one, it's not so bad. Good luck!!

We were on a Royal Caribbean cruise last Easter. The ship had an Easter egg hunt for the younger kids but no baskets for sale. I found an Easter basket that folded up at Hallmark & packed it in my suitcase with just a few plastic eggs & flat gifts like a movie and gift cards (my "child" was 17) that packed easily.

When we sailed (or land-vacationed) over Easter, we would pack plastic eggs and fill them with treats and hide them around the cabin while the kids slept, and have an Easter egg hunt in the morning. As the "kids" got "older" the treats would change. On our last Easter sailing, the eggs were filled with various amounts of cash to be used in the casino lol..

Baskets are going to be a royal pain to pack and hide in my opinion. You could use some kind of tote bags the kids could use on the cruise and then tuck in things they can use on the cruise - lanyard, swim masks, snorkel, and a little candy in eggs. I'd stay away from the Easter grass stuff too. Can you imagine that all over your cabin? (can you tell I hate that stuff?)

Another thought would be visiting the Dollar Tree. They sell larger sized eggs and you could fit treats in there and hide one per kid.

Have fun sailing! We've gotten off the ship on Easter morning and sailed on Thanksgiving and other than a few decorations it really didn't feel like the ship did anything extra special so I think bringing your own celebration will be appreciated by your kids. (I'm still hearing about how Grandma didn't do Easter right for my kids while we still on the ship on Easter morning...even though the Easter bunny did visit our house while we were gone.)

NCL doesn't sell but maybe they should! We have just taken gift bags (fold flat) and stuffed once at the ship. I have also found foldable plastic bins at the dollar store. Those could be used to store toiletries in the bathroom during the cruise.

I've done it for the past 9 years, and it was never a pain to do --- not at all.

If you have a Hobby Lobby store they have some really great baskets that would be able to pack n put together on the ship. Material with unique design

Thanks everyone for the ideas! I think Easter "Bags" or the ones that collapse will work great! I have a day onboard before Easter Day, so I also love the idea of buying small cruise stuff! Ill pack a few candies (no chocolate in FL!!!) and bring plastic eggs.

Thanks again everyone

(PS..not a fan of the grass either! I wouldn't do that to the cabin steward!!)
