Entertainment on RCCL

Has anyone noticed that RCCL has lowered their standards for the top entertainment in the main rooms? It used to be you got at least two performers a night and one person would be someone you would recognize. I love the big production numbers, they are great but having people like the Nelson twins really worth it.

OK, sorry, but I have to ask... Who are the Nelson twins?!?! :D

I think the entertainment is great nowadays. I really like all of the Broadway shows on the newer ships, and I also love all of the acrobatic musicals like Come Fly With Me and Blue Planet. I think the entertainment is the best in the whole industry.

Here's their web site: The Nelson Brothers

Rick Nelsons kids

Thanks, I actually googled and had found that. But I guess my point is - they're not exactly "well known" by the majority of people. I tend to agree with NicNac, I think in general the entertainment is quite good. I'd rather have a well-done production show than a "past their prime" named group who had one big hit a couple decades ago - like the Nelsons. Heck, I can drive just over the border and watch that kind of group at the Indian casinos in Oklahoma any weekend I want! :)

I have to admit I was really impressed with the entertainment on Allure. Although, that being said, I cannot compare it to what entertainment was like years ago but it will be interesting to see how things change and progress going forward.

Your loss.

They are hardly one-hit-wonders.

Sorry, I wasn't really trying to start an argument, or pass judgment on the Nelson twins. Music is a very subjective thing, there are lots of "popular" groups that I can't stand, and some I like who most wouldn't recognize.

Just saying that I wouldn't exactly call them a group that most people would recognize, as the OP said. I actually had to google to figure out who they are. Technically, you're right, (according to wiki) they had a total of four songs which cracked the Billboard Hot 100 during their career, all in 1990 and 1991. :)

Right...all they have is no-name Broadway shows like Hairspray and Chicago. What we need is more kids of stars who are riding on their parents coattails to entertain us on board. I'm tired of these singers who actually trained their voice and went to acting school and stuff.
