mamaboss Posted February 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2014 We will arrive early the day prior to our cruise (Saturday) and staying a day later after (All day Sunday and Monday as our flight will not leave till 7:00pm). We are staying at the Hyatt by the harbor shops. I thought we could do some sightseeing by hopping on and off the trolly. I understand there is a stop near the Harbor Shops. We travel with my 88 year old mom in a transport chair. She can walk short distances and climb a few steps. Does anyone have any experience using the trolly for this purpose? I think the OP is staying in Fort Lauderdale. The trolley has no narration so unless you know what you are passing by, you'll have no idea what you are seeing. There are no Trolley stops, you just flag it down. The water taxi would be a much better tour. The Duck Tour would also be a great idea. It does the land and sea. We were out on the boat Saturday and I saw it at least five times. The water taxi also has its big double decker boats out.

hcw80 Posted February 11, 2014 #7 Share Posted February 11, 2014 I haven't been on the trolley, but you can pick it up at the Publix across the street from the Hyatt. I don't know how handicapped friendly it is. I second the Duck Tour and the Jungle Queen is wheelchair friendly on the lower deck.
