SugarStar00 Posted February 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2014 Once again, search option is down.... I've read a lot of posts saying there is no more live music on the ships but I saw a review recently which had pictures of a live band out on the Lido. Can anyone who's recently been on the Emerald let me know if there was live music or not? Thanks!

I've read a lot of posts saying there is no more live music on the ships but I saw a review recently which had pictures of a live band out on the Lido. Can anyone who's recently been on the Emerald let me know if there was live music or not? Thanks! Yes, Yes , Yes, Got off the Emerald on Feb 7th and there was plenty of live music and groups.. Here they are, but of course some groups may have finished their contracts and have been replaced by new ones. "Accent" a pop/rock group that played in the lounges as well as on theme nights/parties/sail aways. The band had 2 lead singers, keyboard, guitar, drums, bass. "Pastime Duo", a very good male/female duo playing ballroom dance music in the Wheelhouse every evening and night. A steel pan and keyboard duo that played in the day by Neptune's Reef Pool as well as in the lounges in the evening. They are not at the pool all day, just at certain times. A very good lively violin & cello duo, "Playtoven", that played late afternoon and early evening in the Piazza The Piano Man/Singer in Crooner's Lounge every night. The Princess Orchestra that played in the normal theater shows as well as providing Big Band music in the lounges and Dixieland sets in the Piazza. The orchestra also played in Explorer's Lounge for the new "British Pub Night" theme night. Of course, as always, the background piano music for lots of hours in the Piazza. Have fun, dance your feet off.
bigblue2 Posted February 15, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2014 Live band was excellent on the Emerald Jan8-28. A steel drum duo was also very good. Have fun!
chrysalis Posted February 15, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) I gather that Barty Barrington Brown will be re-boarding the ship on March 19th, and playing in Crooners. Edited February 15, 2014 by chrysalis

Princess has a live orchestra on every ship, as well as a pianist, live bands, sometimes a small strings group, etc.
