Norwegian Fjords cruise

Cruising Fjords end of May. Does anyone know how cold it is at that time of year in Norway? What type of coat, sweaters, etc, are necessary? How to pack? We will be leaving 90 degree temps at home. Thank you. :)

It depends on how far north you are going in Norway but we took a fleece jacket with a rain jacket as well, a hat & mitts were also welcome

Layers are the key

Some days the sun was out it was not warm but still good enough to see the sights this was in June

We sailed last year at the end of May and the weather was lovely for all but 2 of the days. Take layers so you have options but be prepared for warm weather also

Right before the trip, look for 10day forecast on weather.com Also Accuweather website has 14days forecast.

 

We were in May - layers are best, tshirt, sweater, light jacket. On our photos we wear sweaters and tshirts.

We lived in Stavanger, Norway for several years. The most important item of clothing is a rain jacket. A good Helly Hansen will keep you warm and dry. A HH rain jacket was the first purchase I made in Norway. Weather could be cool and rainy or warm and dry. It probably will not be cold and dry or very warm and rainy. Norway is beautiful...wished we still lived there.

T shirt, fleece, and rain coat. Along with some good shoes!

I've loved in England for the last 4 years, so I'm taking the lessons I learned here for our norway cruise!
