Thank you we were on the Dawn a while ago and nothing wrong with the ship, you should have a good time going thru the fjord its like a lucky dip but be prepared as it can get very cold but on the Dawn Princess they do supply blankets for the open deck

Fiords - well, you could get a picture perfect day (usually misty) but it will be cool. Enjoy your cruise.

Kiwi Kruzer Posted February 17, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 17, 2014 The fiords could be risky , its still late winter . If they have to cancel you could get the Marlborough Sounds and Bay of Islands , which many prefer anyway . At least thats what happened to one cruise last year . grum2014 Posted February 18, 2014 #7 Share Posted February 18, 2014 (edited) a very subjective question! some may say she's in great shape while others might say that she's run down and showing her age. imho.............a wonderful cruise has nothing to do with what shape the ship is in but the attitude one takes onto the ship. In October you may not even get into the Fjords due to bad weather Edited February 18, 2014 by grum2014
