OK , thank you , it will nice to avoid the crowds at the buffet if we can board early enough , we have a Princess transfer hotel to pier so not sure until we arrive what time we can board
As chrysalis posted, Da Vinci on Fiesta deck (6) midships. We know we are on a cruise after we drop our carry-ons in our cabin and are having our embarkation day lunch in the dining room ;)

You don't really need to use Princess transfers in FLL. A number of hotels have a shuttle to the pier and, if not, a taxi will be significantly less expensive and allow you flexibility as when to arrive.

On our last Emerald cruise in January, we ate lunch at the International Cafe as the Horizon Court is way toooo crowded. Sometimes we will just grab a burger from the grill or pizza and sit out on the deck:)

Vines, conveniently across the way, is a good place to take your food from the IC to eat lunch. ;)

Da Vinci has always been the MDR open for embarkation day lunch every time we have cruised on Emerald.
