Long Island to NYC Port

Take the LIRR to Penn and then a cab from Penn to the Pier. The cab stand in front of Madison Square Garden exit is the easiest way to get a cab. If you go off-peak it won't be as crowded or expensive. I wouldn't recommend going peak. Call your local car service or Dial 7 to compare cost of a car service to the pier. It is much more relaxing.

I also live in Suffolk county on Long Island and have done the train to Penn and a cab to the ship twice with no problems at all. When you get off the train look for the elevator much easier then the escalator with your luggage. Have a great time.
