Allegient appears cheaper at first but then you have to add on their baggage fees (both carry on and larger checked bags) as well as getting seat assignments (another fee) and additional cost if you use a credit card versus debit card.

For whatever reason, NCL's site shows the Breakaway as the ship.

You embark in Port Canaveral, go to GSC, Nassau and NYC and then disembark in Port Canaveral.

It's weird and it's on cruises starting now. Not for all cabin categories tho

They are just filling the ship up on selected cabin groups - they did a test run of this for selected markets already before.

Do you mean the Breakaway will leave Port Canaveral to go north to NYC? That seems very odd to me. I would do that only in the summertime.

It is Breakaway's normal itinerary from NYC, they just take some passengers onboard from PC in the middle of the first cruise and drop them off at the same point of the next cruise.

What's the best way to get from Orlando to the port and approx costs.

When we cruised from Port Canaveral on the NCL Sun in 2011, we booked a Fly Snooze Cruise Package flying out of Orlando. They are priced from $99 for 2 people and include:

1. Airport transportation for flight arrival to hotel

2. Hotel accommodations 1 night standard guestroom

3. Hotel to Port Canaveral transfers for cruise ship departure

4. Port Canaveral back to Airport transportation for return flight

It worked well for us and the hotel we stayed at included a free breakfast. We were on the ship before Noon for the 4 PM departure. Here is a link to an outfit that books the packages: http://portcanaveralcruiser.com/hotel-deals-cocoa-beach-florida/

We did Allegient from here to Orlando about a year or so ago: I doubt we would do it again. The positive: we didn't have to connect through DFW or ORD, but the seats are miserable and the extra charge for everything including bags didn't save us enough to make it worth it.
