Adarabba Posted March 2, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2014 RCI Alaska, Vancouver to Seward, Radiance of the Seas, May 16, 2014 We are 3 people and hoping to have a quick egal-minyan/learning each evening so that shari can recite Kaddish for her mother. Clarea Posted March 2, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2014 Another option available after you board the ship is the community bulletin board near Guest Services. You can fill out a card and post it there.
cruisegirl1 Posted March 2, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 2, 2014 Yes – please post on your roll call, you might be pleasantly surprised at the response. On a recent Celebrity cruise it was “standing room only” at Shabbat services on both Friday nights! Remember that CC is just a tiny fraction cruisers, so Bob’s suggestion of posting something to the community bulletin board is a good one. Barb Nahoumi Posted March 2, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 2, 2014 Ask if a space or conference room can be reserved for you, unless you want to hold the service in your cabin.
travelplus Posted March 2, 2014 #7 Share Posted March 2, 2014 (edited) Shalom First of all condolences on the passing of your Shari's Mother. What I would do is go up to Guest Relations and post a message on the board of all the happenings onbaord as well as see if you can speak with the Guest Relations Supervisor/Activities Director and tell them about your situation. You could also e-mail Adam Goldstein agoldstein@rccl.com and his Executive Department could put you in touch before the cruise with the right department. May God grant you strength and bless you with good health. Yitgadal Vey yit kadash shemah rabah. Edited March 2, 2014 by travelplus
travelplus Posted March 2, 2014 #8 Share Posted March 2, 2014 For those of you who are not aware of the meaning of Kaddish here is a website with the translation. It is a prayer said in Aramaic. http://kaddishjerusalem.com/kaddish-prayer/
