UKJJ Posted March 3, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2014 (edited) Leaving tomorrow. Have that horrible feeling that I will forget to pack and/or do some thing before. What is a good checklist to follow before I leave? I'm not sure what the rules are about linking other sites, but you can google "cruisin me checklist" and it will pull up the one that I use. Shmoo here Posted March 3, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2014 Leaving tomorrow. Have that horrible feeling that I will forget to pack and/or do some thing before. What is a good checklist to follow before I leave? Actually, the only things that are most important not to forget is your ID (passports, birth certificates & driver's license) whatever you're using. And any medications. Anything else can be bought. Either onboard or in port.
Shaded Lady Posted March 3, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2014 If it helps, here's my cruising list... I've added to it each time someone posts a great idea! UKJJ Posted March 3, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 3, 2014 Also, there's an app for your phone called "Ship Mate" that has a great checklist that breaks down everything like your meds, passports, sunglasses, etc.

ccruisequeen Posted March 3, 2014 #9 Share Posted March 3, 2014 OTC meds are expensive on board- sore throat, aspirin, bandaids and antibiotic ointment, even toothpaste and brushes. A Sun hat and sunglasses, and suntan lotion. ENTERTAINMENT-Reading material, chargers for electronics and cameras, iTunes & earbuds, casino cash (if you like to donate to the ship funds),
mirage2u Posted March 3, 2014 #10 Share Posted March 3, 2014 I always start with Calgon's Ultimate Packing List and then modify it. You can google it to find the webpage. I'm also not sure if we are allowed to post outside links. It is very old but helpful. He breaks it down into what to pack where and gives you reason's for the stranger items that he takes. CruisinWithFamily Posted March 3, 2014 #15 Share Posted March 3, 2014 Another thing I do is save dry cleaning wire hangers and bring them with. I hang just about everything and don't worry about having to bring them home.

MissyMac13 Posted March 3, 2014 #18 Share Posted March 3, 2014 We bring an over the door shoe holder and put it on the outside of one of the closets. We put everything from sunscreen to highlighters to anything that you don't want laying around the room. We bought ours at Target for $5 and it is the best thing for organizing.
