Oceanview Café for dinner

Don't forget, if you don't do formal (and we don't) you can also, at least on the Summit, put on something decent but not dressy and eat at Bistro on 5. It's a small and simpler meal (mostly crepes, but also a few sandwiches and salads), but perfectly adequate for one night. It's inexpensive, too ($5) and quiet. On our second formal night, we were the only two people there for the first 15 minutes which was a nice change from the hustle and bustle going on everywhere else on the ship.

There's also room service, but that is REALLY limited unless you want to pay extra for their extra charge entrees - which, of course, are the best ones! I got spaghetti (edible, but not great) and my husband tried the chicken sandwich with one of the (watery) soups. At least the cheesecake with blueberry topping was good, and we didn't have to cook or wash dishes!

You may order from the dining room menu (room service) for dinner.

After 4 nights of Select dining on Connie, with lacklustre service and lukewarm food, we went self service for the last 8 nights. Passengers were often outnumbered by the staff dining there, and frankly the food was better and hotter (often cooked to order) and the staff friendlier, and a window seat every night! We did wonder if the quality of the ingredients were better as the officers and staff were often dining there.

We found the variety and quality very good. We ate there 2 nights. The other nights I would run up before dinner for the sushi. I was the only one in our party of six that liked sushi and I could not convince them to eat in Silk Harvest.
