We need a really good lie!!

Once, I lied to the kids and told them we were going to the airport to see Santa (their dad was coming home on Christmas Eve from a military deployment back in the day when all the guys wore their uniforms on commercial planes). They were so busy looking for a guy in a red suit that my husband was looking them straight in they eye for a few seconds until they realized who was there! Of course, I could never as a mom tell my kids we were going to foster care! I have an awful feeling at age 8 they might believe me!! GL and share what you did...I may have to use it one day;)

[Cruise life]

The people who say don't pull your kids out of school need a life. We are taking our 11 year old granddaughter to Kauai in a week. She goes to an environmental charter school. Talk about first hand education!

 

 

These are the same people who dislike ANY children on their cruises. I completely agree a real-life education is worth at least as much as one gained in a classroom.

I guess I was sitting on the luggage! I missed that entire page. I can't use the doctor excuse unless we leave out of Charleston (one of our boys sees a specialist there), LOL, but good idea!! Thanks for the heads-up;)
