Celebrity hosts its large buffet in the MDR, I can't think of it's "proper" name :p

 

I am on a 7 day Western Caribbean (2 sea days and 4 port days). I figured it would be on the last sea day but I looked on the daily compasses (for previous similar sailing) and can't find it anywhere :(

 

Any help would be great!! We missed this on our last Celebrity cruise and are REALLY hoping to catch it this time! :)

Its only posted on the hours of operation page. Ask your server to let you know. They never 'advertise' it, but they always have one! Take your camera!!

On our recent Century the Brunch, as this was called, was from 10am to 1pm on the last full day onboard which was a sea day. It was listed in the daily bulletin, Celebrity Today, in the Grand MDR Culinary Delights section.

On Summit last year (and I hope this year), there was a brunch in MDR on the first (and only) sea day. It was really nice. Not advertised in the dailies. You had to "know" about.

Nice!! That is how we knew also. Anothe reason to eat in MDR and not the buffet. The things you can learn!! ;)

They don't advertise it because they don't want everybody on the ship to show up for it . The MDR doesn't have the capacity to hold every one.

No brunch last week on Silhouette Western Caribbean. I do not know the reason, the final at sea day had an enhanced dessert buffet in Ocean View (chocolate fountain etc)

I read in one of the posts here in the last few days that the Brunch is no more on the Constellation, and that they were phasing it out on other ships.

 

Perhaps someone with more information will post here.

I saw dailies from a February Constellation sailing and the brunch was listed. Was it just recently phased out? We sail on April 5 and were looking forward to it!

Just got off Equinox last Friday. We liked almost everything about the experience. One of the disappointments was the brunch. It was hectic and pretty much lackluster. I kept on thinking "why all the fuss?" I'll admit that this type of evaluation is completely subjective, but I would respectfully suggest that a lowering of expectations might be in order.

We enjoyed the brunch on several cruises, but on the last two, Infinity and Eclipse, it was just a scrum. All the downstairs tables were full or not reset so we were directed to the upper level. I looked over at the area around the buffet tables and it was a sea of people. I just couldn't face fighting my way through the crowd to get food, then carrying it up the stairs, so I decided not to bother and left. I thought this was maybe because it was our first experience of a brunch on M class, but it was just the same on Eclipse three weeks later. It was better when it was a well kept secret!
