mommydoc Posted March 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 24, 2014 We are a family of 5, two parents and children 14,10 and 10, who are taking a 14 night Alaska cruise on the Sun this May. For reservation purposes, one parent is reserved in each room. But for the cruise itself, my husband and I will sleep in the balcony cabin and the three children will bunk directly across the hall in the interior cabin. Can we have the parents' room cards programmed to access both rooms? Would that be done upon check in? TIA!
che5904 Posted March 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 24, 2014 I don't believe that it is possible to have your room card for 2 different rooms. The customer service desk can give you an entrance only 2nd card for the other room though.

They can only program each card for one door but they will make copies of cards that open the kids' door. I believe we went to Guest Services after we sailed to do this. lisakoivu Posted March 25, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 25, 2014 Just came back from BA same scenario. Just get guest services to cut you a new card for the room.
acharris1 Posted March 25, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 25, 2014 Can you not switch your rooms to two connecting balcony rooms? I don't know if I like the idea of kids sleeping in a separate room from both parents... I don't think I'd get any sleep!
mommydoc Posted March 25, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted March 25, 2014 Thank you so much for the responses. Sounds like an easy solution. We absolutely would purchase connecting balconies if money were no object OR if they weren't really responsible kids. Particularly the 14 year old, who babysits for us frequently. :-)
