Can you take food off the ship?

We will be cruising to bermuda in 2 weeks!!! We have 2 small kids and I was wondering if I can take some food off the ship (box of cereal or fruit or something on that idea) for a snack for them? Also we will be driving home 4 hours after the cruise and I was wondering about a snack then also. Thanks

Anything that is sealed yes but fruit is a huge no no.

We have never had an issue with he prepacjaged boxes of cereal but would never think of taking anything fresh off the ship. There are daily reminders against this in the cruise compass. In Mexico they had food sniffing dogs at the port and were doing baggage checks.

I always pack some protein bars for long excursions. You could also bring some trail mix.

I agree - no problem taking cereal. I like the box granola or cheerios for the road. I think the concern is with fruit, seeds, plants .....etc.

Just an FYI, at the dockyard there is a big drug store like CVS where you can get packaged snacks and drinks. They're a little pricier than in the states but not too bad.
