Making diamond on first leg of B2B

Recommended Posts

how do you get diamond perks on second leg if the system takes a week or 2 to upgrade?

See the Loyalty Ambassador on board the ship. They will usually recognize your new status on the second cruise if you earned the appropriate number of points on the first cruise.

We made diamond plus on the second week of a B2B. Had hoped the loyalty ambassador would make the change for both weeks - he definitely would not! Kind of annoying as we were 1 point short of diamond plus during the first week.

Anyway, he told me to come back the second week and he did make the change. We had to go to guest services, after he made a phone call to them, and they printed new cards for us so that we could access concierge lounge.

Make sure when they print your new cards that your "new benefits" are loaded on the card - they forgot and had to return to get them re-done.

How can you be annoyed when you were not entitled to D+ benefits until you actually turned D+? Anyway, it's not the exact same thing that OP is asking; He turns D during the first week and isn't asking for the benefits for that first leg. :)

We became diamond after the first half of a B2B on Serenade. We just went to the loyalty ambasador during the first half to find out what we needed to do in order to get the status the second week. He told us to see him on the first day of the 2nd week and he would put diamond stickers on our seapass cards over where it said emerald. He also gave us both the diamond coupon books and asked us to please bring him the emerald ones we had received in our cabin. We did all of that and were able to enjoy the dimaond status on the second half of the B2B. If the ship you are sailing on has the preloaded coupons on your seapass card now, they might have to either reissue new ones or reload the new coupons onto your existing seapass cards.
