Best time to board the Royal

It says we should board after 1:30pm This seems late. We do not have priority boarding. How early should we board? In the past the bus dropped us off around 12 or 12:30. There was a very long line then. This year we are driving ourselves so we can come when we want to.

That's a request in order to stagger boarding. The later you arrive, the shorter the line. In reality, you can arrive at 10:30am if you wish.

If you don't want to stand in line, later is better. Doors usually open at 11:30. While they don't enforce the staggered boarding, most people are anxious to board and you can expect longer lines before the doors open. By 1:30, you probably could just board.

 

I boarded in February...was in line by 11, on board shortly after 1.
