Storage in cabins

This is our first cruise. What kind of storage is in the cabins? Ie....dressers/closets. We have a ocean view state room.

What ship?

On Carnival, in a renovated Fantasy class, there are 3 closets, one has shelves and the room safe, one stores the life jackets, and has hanging space, the other is a full closet to hang your stuff.

Some cabins have a sofa, and there is storage uder the seat.

 

Store your suitcases under your bed, and remember, pack once , rethink and take half of your stuff out, The more you cruise, the less you realize you have to take with you. Have a good time, and remember, listing the ship wil get you the right answers, We are all here to help.

Storage varies somewhat by ship and cabin type.

You should have closet space to hang clothes, drawers, cabinets, and shelves in the closet. Put your suitcases under the bed once you unpack.

The answer will vary by ship and cabin type. Most will have a closet with hangers and either drawers or shelves for stacking things. If you need more hangers, just ask your cabin steward for extra.s

The ship were going on is Royal Caribbean Explorer of the sea, ocean view state room.

Pack light. At most you are going to bring a 26" piece luggage each and a carry on bag. We have been on the Explorer of the seas. Lots of storage space.

No worries about packing. Make sure you leave room in your bags for any souvenirs or clothing that you may purchase at your ports of call.

Check if one or more mirrors open. On Royal Caribbean, the two side mirrors above the desk, and one side mirror in the bathroom open up for storage of small items. You'll likely also have a safe, which either uses a credit card (no charge) or your own made-up 4-digit code for opening and closing. Some people take an old expired credit card on ships that use a card. And, no, I don't remember which ships used this -- sorry. Maybe others know this. Also, some people take over-the-door shoe racks for additional storage -- especially useful if you have more than 2 people in a cabin.

We've sailed on Explorer twice. The cabins have all sorts of storage. They maximize the space in the cabins. The closet has a sort of pull down rack, as well as the usual one for clothing, giving you the ability to hang long garments and then tops or slacks on the other rack at the bottom. They have shelving in the closet (side) which holds quite a bit. They have a dresser. The night stand(s) have a small drawer. In addition, there is storage beside the mirrors on the dresser for toiletries, bottles, cosmetics, etc. We slide the luggage under the bed. We've never had a problem with storage. While cabins on cruise ships are smaller than a hotel room, there's much more storage space provided. They use every nook.
