Website Comparing the Top Travel Insurance Companies For 2014

Recommended Posts

I came across this article today and thought it might be of interest to many here. I just wish I had found it and also this cruise topic before buying insurance for our upcoming trip. Ours is #8 on the list and it's major flaw appears to be it doesn't have Concierge Services.

This is excellent information especially when comparing medical costs & evacuation allowances. It helps to decide on travel insurance for a closer destination or one that is much further away.

This is a good resource, however a better resource IMHO are the online brokers of cruise insurance. There are some large agencies that allow you to specify the details of your trip, and give you side by side quotes and plan details from various insurance providers. A simple internet search will get you those. Personally, I've used Trip Insurance store twice, and will use again in the future. Its side-by-side feature is great, and its agents provide excellent advice and hand holding through the maze of insurance options.

Thank you for providing this link. It's always nice to see current ratings of the insurance companies. The company I am considering for our September cruise is #3 (great benefits for a reasonable price)!

This chart is wrong. Allianz's Worldwide plans includes Concierge service. Their basic Essentials and Classic plans do not. If you have the Wordwide plan you are good.
