transfer booking date: does insurance follow?

I have read conflicting answers to this on the RCI forum. Perhaps on this forum answers will be more knowledgable. Here's the question: Since RCI's Cruise Care is attached to the reservation number, if I transfer that reservation, on which I have already paid insurance, to a different date and/or ship can I simply pay the difference in price for insurance, if applicable? Or do I lose the paid up insurance policy?

Just in case anyone else is curious. I decided to call Berkley Care and ask my question. The rep said yes, if the reservation number was transferred, the insurance would follow. Great news for those of us who don't want to lose the OBC on a cruise that we may have t move to a different date. Of course, this has to be done before final payment.
