Twiga Posted April 14, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 14, 2014 I just booked with Bob's Limos in Rome after doing a lot of research to find a reliable company. Their website is http://www.romelimousines.com/ They were quick to respond with my requests and the prices are reasonable. According to the web site, Bob is from Ohio. Happy cruising! CruiserBruce Posted April 14, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2014 If you look down the board there is a huge thread for an excellent company, Rome in Limo, and many other recommendations for other good companies as well.

Rare cruisemom42 Posted April 15, 2014 #5 Share Posted April 15, 2014 Rome cabs is the best car service in all of Italy in my opinionWww.romecabs.com ....and you have tried ALL of them, so you know this? I have no problem with people making a recommendation when requested, but perhaps it is better to avoid ridiculous superlatives....
maryann ns Posted April 16, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 16, 2014 My only experience is with driverinrome (3 times) and they were excellent. However, being a budget minded person I would be taking the train and a taxi.
kuldalai Posted April 17, 2014 #7 Share Posted April 17, 2014 If you have plenty of time take the Leonardo Express from the Airport into Roma Termini (half hourly departures). Change trains at Termini for Civitavecchia , half hourly departures . Trains from Roma Termini , some proceed further up the coast to Pisa, La Spezia and even Genova and Milano . Others terminate at Civitavecchia, these are the best trains to catch as seat reservations are not required , and also they usually terminate at Civitavecchia on the street side platform avoiding the dreaded "sottopassagio" ! Waihekean Posted April 19, 2014 #8 Share Posted April 19, 2014 Romecabs are wonderful. Found them through here on Cruise Critic and they are really used to bringing/picking up cruisers from Civi. Also Airport to Hotel and visa versa. Another tip is to share their vans to and from Port with other cruisers from your roll call. It is really easy to organise and makes it very economical. Around 30euro per person.
