30038599 Posted April 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2014 I will be vacating in Vancouver BC sometime in Oct or Nov of this year. Is there a cruise line that starts somewhere (don't know where) and ends in Vancouver or leave from Vancouver and ends up somewhere else. We have done the Alaska cruise and don't want to do it again. Please tell me how I am able to search for a cruise.. No Hawaii destination.
CruiserBruce Posted April 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2014 (edited) You don't want to go to Hawaii? Correct? There are some cruises that go down the West Coast, ending in LA or perhaps San Diego. There are repositioning cruises that will go, in most cases, through the Panama Canal and to Florida. Try the websites for Holland America and Princess, as well as any of the other cruise lines that sail Alaska. They will have something as their ships depart Alaska for warmer climates. Krazy Kruizers Posted April 24, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2014 How many days do you want to sail? There are some 4 and 5 day cruises sailing from Vancouver to San Diego or LA -- depends on cruise line. They are part of repositioning cruises where some ships will end up in Florida -- these are usually around 21 days. And they will start about the 3rd week of September. SadieN Posted April 24, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2014 Usually mid September is the latest for the repo cruises out of Vancouver.

W5KAP Posted April 24, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 24, 2014 Due to the late time of the year that you plan on cruising, I think you may have a problem. Most of the ships (if not all) are gone at the end of September. If you can change your dates to a little earlier you may be able to catch a repositioning cruise. Good luck Love Vancouver. Will be there in 33 days! Yep Alaska again!! Cheers, Kenn
Kamloops50 Posted April 24, 2014 #7 Share Posted April 24, 2014 Lived in Vancouver for almost 30 years. Move to the interior for work and haven't returned yet. Still enjoy visiting family there.

There are a few pacific coastal cruises in early October, after that you are out of luck. \ http://www.portmetrovancouver.com/about/cruiseandtourism/cruiselineschedules.aspx
30038599 Posted April 27, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted April 27, 2014 I appreciate all the information. It has been very helpful. I'm having trouble searching for a reposition cruise. How do you search for one? Love the idea of going to San Diego. And my days are flexible.
