Kezzie62 Posted April 27, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2014 We are flying into FLL on May 1st. We have hired a car as we want to pick up a few things before we head to the ship. Looking at the rental paperwork it warns about toll roads, does anyone know if we will need the toll pass if all we are doing is driving from the airport to Harbordale shopping mall on 17th street then on to the Dollar rental office at the dock? Also I have read that you must have a receipt for gas or they will charge you for a full tank of gas! Is there somewhere close by to top up the tank? CruiserBruce Posted April 27, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2014 No toll roads using 17th St to get to the port.
Eng23 Posted April 28, 2014 #3 Share Posted April 28, 2014 I hope your flight is an early arriving flight with renting a car. There are no tolls between the airport and the Budget Office on SE 17th St. If you are not arriving early in the morning keep in mind the time required to claim your bags, get your rental car, make the stops you need to, and the time it takes to turn in the car and be shuttled to the ship. Don't be late getting to the ship.
Kezzie62 Posted April 28, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Thank you for the information. We are due to land before 9am. So we should have time to get a late breakfast and visit the wine store. Before we head to the ship. There are 4 adults in our group so it made sense to hire a car and take our time.
