Hidden fees if someone decides not to go on trip?

To get straight to the point:

 

What if one person on my reservation decides not to take a trip I'm going on?

 

I have paid in full (including port taxes/gov't fees). We have 3 in a cabin. If only 2 people are able to show for the cruise and I don't make any changes to my reservation, would that be fine? I expect I wouldn't have to pay any more fees that the expected daily fees in the fine print.

 

Has this happened to anyone? I really want everyone to go on the trip, but realistically it might not be possible.

They will be treated as a "no show"...there are no "hidden fees"....they simply lose their money! The cruiseline makes out like a bandit!!!!

Port fees and taxes for the 3rd person will be refunded. If you prepaid gratuities, those would be refunded for the 3rd person as well (I think all lines do this).

No, same thing. You forfeit the cost of the cruise and are refunded port fee's and taxes for one person. Any other pre paid charges such as gratuities are also refunded.

There are no "hidden fees" if one reads the passage contract and cancellation schedule.

 

If your traveling companions are so "iffy" to the point that you think it's "unrealistic" to expect them all to come along then they really did not want to go in the first place.

If you booked with a travel agent they may impose a cancellation fee for the third passenger. There would be no additional fees from the cruise line.
