I'm taking my DH and 2 girls (10, 13) on a 3 day Bahamas May 23. Can anyone recommend a hotel between Ft Lauderdale and the Port in Miami. I would love if it had a full breakfast bar. Need some great suggestions.

Not sure why you want a hotel between FLL and POM?

If you are flying into FLL but cruising from POM your best option is likely to be to stay near the FLL airport and then shuttle to POM the morning of your cruise. http://www.sunny.org has lots of tourist and lodging info. SAS (http://www.ridesas.com), Go Airport Shuttle, QLS, MJS and others will shuttle you between FLL and POM for about $15 per person each way - the trip takes about 40-45 minutes.

If you would prefer to stay near POM check out the Hampton Inn Mary Brickell Village - free breakfast and port shuttles.

Good luck! :)

Try Embassy Suites on 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale.....Use Last Minute Travel Club for pricing out your hotel...great rates and this is a very popular website for booking hotels....they usually offer free membership and I believe they are right now.

I would stay the night before your cruise farther north off of I95 near Palm Beach and then make the approx 1.5 hour drive to POM in the morning.

Are looking for a hotel offering cruise parking? Hotels in the FLL area are generally cheaper than comparable properties in Miami, but you'll need to pay for the shuttle both ways.

Hotels in downtown Miami do not offer cruise parking - they charge their guests $25-30+/day for parking. I have seen ads for the Hampton Inn Mary Brickell offering a cruise parking package you should check out.

Parking at POM is covered, convenient and secure, but costs $20/day. :(
