Freedom of the Seas question * Large Ocean View or Promenade

Would you book a Large Ocean View Stateroom on deck 9 or a Promenade Stateroom on deck 7/8 . . . Why? Good and bad? ? ? :o

Ocean view.

 

Natural light, don't have to worry about closing the curtains.

Promenade because the couch in the window is a great place to sit, read a book and watch people. Also for a lot of ocean view the beds are aligned so that the window is behind the bedhead.

Ocean View: more privacy, natural light, like the layout better.

Oh....I would definitely take the oceanview. We just had a family ocean view cabin.....check those out. It was huge!!! We had two large portholes overlooking the helipad on the Independence. It slept 6. Loved it! but it was a looooong walk to anywhere! But the regular oceanviews around us were very nice.

We're had 9 promenade cabins (3 on the Freedom) and love them. As said, the loveseat is a great place to watch people and parades, etc. We always try to get 6275, which is right across from the Pub. The only time that you hear anything is when there is a parade or a dance party, which is not very often.

I haven't had an ocean view (just balcony) but I have had a promenade stateroom. Very fun and great for people watching. It up to you. I love an ocean view but as posters have said - the room layout is very nice. Best of luck!
