New to Azamara - Questions

We are looking to book our first Azamara cruise on the Journey

I am noise sensitive, the cabins that we are looking at are on deck 4 - midships

Category 5 - around 4040 to 4050, any noise or vibrations in that area

Any comments would be greatly appreciated

Also we enjoy pre-dinner drinks and dancing, what entertainment would be available

Any other comments about included wine , food and activities

Best Regards,

Peter and Trish

To avoid potential noise from the Club Luxe pianist/bar pick a room on the starboard side of the ship. I don't know if that is an issue but to be safe the starboard side midships have nothing noisy above and cabins below. 4040-4050 range is a good range and away from the show lounge and the anchors.

Not much in the way of pre-dinner entertainment/dancing unless you eat late. Nightly show, Club Luxe pianist/singer, Looking Glass entertainer(s), post-dinner dancing in the Looking Glass disco, White Night party. Pre-dinner drinks available in Looking Glass, Discoveries lounge, Club Luxe, Mosaic, by the pool, the sunset bar aft (also can pick up appetizers from the buffet).

We normally like to spend between 6.30 and 8.00 relaxing with a drink

Talking about the days events and planning for the next day

Also we miss the opening of the dinning room which can be crowded

So there seems to be no music before dinner in Club Luxe and the Looking Glass

Is there a dance floor in Club Luxe, is this part of the Casino

I like to try and spend some time each day walking off all the extra food

Would there be any outside area to walk without upsetting other passengers

There usually is about a half hour of dancing in the theater before the show. The ship's orchestra provides the music and the ballroom dance couple tries to get people to join in the dancing.

On deck 10 there is a small track to walk , or run on. It takes 13 laps for a mile. You might do better in the gym, which has nice equipment for this size ship.

No dance floor in club luxe...it is the casino bar. Wife and I often had a drink or two in Looking Glass before dinner, very quiet except for low key entertainer, a guitarist on our last cruise, and no crowds. We also like the sunset bar weather permitting. Discoveries lounge, just outside the MDR is always crowded and loud. One thing I forgot that might be to your taste is the Prime C (premium restaurant) bar. You don't have to eat there and it is very quiet, top shelf, until the high table starts up.

Generally the looking glass starts to get very lively after 10.30. We always think of the dancing as fun exercise even if it starts with only a few of you, more always join in. Abba night always brings everyone out.

my favorite indoor bar if you do not want music is Prime C. peopel do drink there as it is quiet and great views of the sea. you do not have to eat there to drink there.
