ccruisequeen Posted May 15, 2014 #27 Share Posted May 15, 2014 (edited) $300 butterfly 7's accidentally hit max and got a row of 7's and a triple. It kept spinning and after 20 minutes of the numbers rolling, I finally hit a button to stop it at $300. Cashed out with $400 in my players bank. beberenn Posted May 15, 2014 Author #28 Share Posted May 15, 2014 Friends we were cruising with won $5000 on Let it Ride. We've never won big in the casino, but win bingo almost every cruise. We are probably at over $2000 in bingo wins. That's awesome! I've never won!! Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
beberenn Posted May 15, 2014 Author #29 Share Posted May 15, 2014 Just returned off the Pride (Mother's Day) and I won $2000 and $1600 on one of the video poker machines against the back wall. I was playing Deuces Wild with 10 credits for a $1.00 denomination ($10 a pull). I also saw a woman hit $2000, $2000 and then $4000 on the SAME machine in about 30 minutes! She was playing Triple Bonus for max credits-$.50 ($2.50 a pull). She was playing the video poker machine furthest from the window against the back wall! It was a very lucky trip for me as I also hit 8 straight flushes and one three of a kind at the Three Card Poker table as well. Earned a free cruise but won't be going as I don't have the money to gamble :( !! LOL!!! 30 days and I will b back on the pride, maybe I should try video poker, I have never played it!! beberenn Posted May 15, 2014 Author #30 Share Posted May 15, 2014 The hubby won $2500 from the cash vault on our first night on the Legend in April. Best $2 ever spent! Amazing!! Bet that was the beginning of a great, stress free cruise ! No worries about huge bar bills at the end of the week! okgirl Posted May 15, 2014 #31 Share Posted May 15, 2014 I've won several times over the years. It's not unusual for me to win $500 or even $1000 on the WOF or Monte Carlo machine when spinning the big wheel. Also on the WOF $1 machine on the Glory and the Conquest I had a combination reel spin winning $2500 each time, then on the Valor when I was waiting on the WOF to be available I sat down next to it at a .25 machine and won $2000 jackpot on a .75 cent bet. Ladydarcy1 Posted May 15, 2014 #32 Share Posted May 15, 2014 Last week on the Sunshine I did one of those things I thought "never happens". I hit the progressive jackpot on a penny machine. I won $3241.84. The funny thing is I play slots all the time (on cruises and at a casino back home) and I did't realize I'd hit the jackpot until the guy playing the machine behind me told me I had LOL. CruisingSteelerGirl Posted May 15, 2014 #34 Share Posted May 15, 2014 Hubby has won the iPad2 +$500 playing the "Cash Vault" twice now. He won it the first time on our very first cruise the first time he put a $5 bill in after watching people play it and lose. The second time we took the cash option instead of the iPad2 since we had already won it previously so we ended up walking away with $1500. It was nice! How??? Is there a secret??? lol. CruisingSteelerGirl Posted May 15, 2014 #35 Share Posted May 15, 2014 On my last cruise I found that if I put a $20 in the machine without my sail and sign card...I would hit more often than if I had my sail in sign card in the machine... I hit for around $500...but gave it back by the end of cruise. all good..
Island Hopping Posted May 15, 2014 #36 Share Posted May 15, 2014 I won $800 and the wife won $450 on the same penny slot on our last day on the Victory a few years ago. Most of the time we are on the loosing end. :)
mikel24m Posted May 15, 2014 #37 Share Posted May 15, 2014 How??? Is there a secret??? lol. No secret lol. They had a thread about it on here awhile ago and its random just like any other slot and pays off after so many attempts or "coin" in. It looks really easy to do and when you attempt to stop it to get the key into the hole the arm continues to move a very ,very small amount so your off just a tiny bit ;). Just like any other casino game someone must win or no one would play
mikel24m Posted May 15, 2014 #38 Share Posted May 15, 2014 (edited) I've never hit it big, but I have witnessed those around me on the slots hitting jackpots of several thousand dollars. On two cruises it seemed to be people that never leave a specific machine, and are well known to the staff. We tried this our last cruise and it worked out pretty well for us. We found a few games that paid well and parked our butts on them most of the cruise and didn't lose that much. We would play our winnings though but we only played a few machines sort of like home with our favorite games or new games Edited May 15, 2014 by mikel24m
sjn911 Posted May 15, 2014 #39 Share Posted May 15, 2014 (edited) These winning stories just floor me. I did not even bet a nickel on my 2 Carnival cruises and have probably bought a retail Coach purse worth every year with the lottery since...I do not want to say...I still play the lottery but not 2 times a week anymore...LOL. I have probably lost about 250.00 over my life on slots and won maybe 50...these win stories tell me I should at least play 20 bucks or something per cruise..LOL..Carnival will love this thread. 618mom Posted May 15, 2014 #40 Share Posted May 15, 2014 My wife has won enough on each of our cruises to pay for the cruise. I just lose :) Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk That is us but my husband wins and I lose. On our last and only cruise so far (55 more days till #2!) my husband won around $800. When we go to the casinos here at home I just keep my playing money and go shopping afterwards lol
Shaded Lady Posted May 15, 2014 #41 Share Posted May 15, 2014 I cruised on my birthday one year and my birthday wish was just to spend the morning vegging on the Lido deck and the afternoon in the casino. I spent $20, won $125! the only time I've ever come out ahead in any casino! My DH & I usually make a game out of who can make $20 last the longest in the casino on our one & only visit. USNUZULOOSE Posted May 15, 2014 #42 Share Posted May 15, 2014 Wasn't us, but on our cruise in 09 someone hit a 98 thousand dollar jackpot on the slots. And behind them someone hit 10K all at the same time.

That's about what we do. After reading about the jackpots that some have won, I guess winning $20.00 isn't such a big deal. My DW made that twenty dollars disappear pretty quickly in one of the gift shops. Oh well. Next time, I think I'll let her go to the casino while I have fun on the water slide.:D
BlondieB Posted May 15, 2014 #44 Share Posted May 15, 2014 The most I've ever won was $600 on a bonus spin type machine (like the Wheel of Fortune) aboard the Magic on the last night. I ran it back down to around $540 before I cashed out and called it quits. Won $300 on the first spin of a $20 bill on the Ecstasy on a Wheel of Fortune

tncap Posted May 15, 2014 #46 Share Posted May 15, 2014 Our roll call slot pull hit $1,000 on the Wheel of Fortune slot. You would have thought we hit $10,000 the way we were hootin' and hollerin'.

TahoeBob Posted May 15, 2014 #49 Share Posted May 15, 2014 I've heard (and who knows if it's true) that at the beginning of the cruise the slots are looser and get tightened up at the end. This is not true at all, a friend of mine has been in the casino industry for over 40 years, 20 working for NCL as a casino manager. The reason this not done is because there is very little room for changing the slot machine payout rate. the second reason this does not happen is because the house always wins, my friend told me that he can only remember about 5-10 times that the casino that the casino did not meet there projected income levels. I spent over 10 years in the casino industry in slots.
