We just got off the Sunshine but Freddie wasn't there! There was a big white elephant and something that looked like maybe a Humpty Dumpty. Never saw Freddie!

I remember reading somewhere that Freddie was "too scary" for the kids - the towel animals where on their way in to replace him. :cool:

Freddie was on our Dream cruise last week but I only saw photos of him with the Camp Carnival kids. I didn't see the elephant at all. :(

He was scaring too many little kids so he is being replaced.

 

At least that's the word on the street. I never had any issues with him but hey. Not every mascot can be as cool as the Phillie Phanatic. :D

Saw Freddy in a tux on elegant night on the Liberty last month. Also saw the towel animal elephant posing for photos on the dock in one of the ports. Freddy's grown on me. I'll miss him. :p Didn't think much of the towel animal. :D

Yeah, that sounds like it could be part of anyone's scary nightmare. Being surrounded by giant towel animal monsters with nowhere to escape to. LOL.

DD (3) is scared to death of him but I don't think she has seen the life size towel animals yet. Freddy wasn't on our March cruise on the Imagination.

I guess Ellie is a bit sweeter-looking, but reminds me of the hufflelumps and woozles from Winnie-the-Pooh. I think the 6' size is what is intimidating.

People seemed pleased to see him.

 

He did not come to the past guest party.
