Live review Allure of the Seas May 25th Eastern Caribbean

Recommended Posts

Introduction

Hi Everyone my name is Kent and I got inspired to do a live review after reading all the different reviews getting ready for our cruise on Allure of the Seas. Bugy's, Gambee's, and Cupcrazy's. I've been addicted to Cruise Critic since last October and their reviews helped seal the deal to sail on Allure Of the Seas for this holiday weekend.

I'm a 33 year commercial banker and I'm happily married with our cat and dog. We currently live in Denver, CO after moving here 7 months ago from Portland, OR for my work. This is actually our 3rd cruise on RCI, previously we've sailed on Navigator in 2010 doing a Mediterranean cruise for our honeymoon and last year we sailed on Liberty doing a Cozumel and Roatan trip. We figured next on our checklist had to be Allure since we've been progressively moving up the ship size.

We'll be leaving Saturday from Denver to Ft. Lauderdale on United Airlines and we were inspired to stay at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 courtesy of Bugsy's most recent review. Originally I had booked us were to stay at the Renaissance on 17th St but we decided to switch to the Hyatt plus we have status with Hyatt so that's always a nice bonus.

I'll be posting pictures via my Iphone using tapatalk, Canon DSLR, and our small Canon powershot. The reason why I started the review early was to test using photobucket and the tapatalk app.

Thanks for reading and enjoy the journey with my wife and I!!

I just realized how horrible my grammar was in the first post due to my excitement. For some reason the edit button isn't showing up for me in the first post. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get the first post fixed?

Room

My wife and I got a D4 balcony on the starboard side room #7672 sandwiched on the deck between the Boardwalk and Central Park. I kind of wish I picked a room on the port side instead but we're still really excited for our room. Part of our philosophy in choosing a room on deck 7 was the fact that we were unsure of how easy Allure would be to get around. This deck allows us to be close to the Boardwalk, Central Park, the Promenade, and of course the casino!!

We have been on the Allure 3 times and will be going again June 1st. Deck 7 is a great location and you will love it!! Our favorite ships are the Oasis and Allure (no other ships compare!). We usually get a balcony cabin and deck 7 and 8 are our favorite locations. For our upcoming cruise we are splurging and have a Crown Loft Suite. Looking forward to your live review!! Travel safe and have fun!! By the way...you will Love the casino

I like your introduction, very well stated.

But if you do not like it try hitting the red triangle in the right upper corner of your post to let the moderators know you want to change, they may or may not agree, but, worth a shot.

Sea Ya

Cannot wait.

We're in 11206. Don't worry about getting around, it's very easy!

We cruised on the Allure in 2012 with the same itinerary and we loved our starboard cabin. You have the view of the islands when you dock and get to see the runners when time to leave port! We sail again in 113 days and have booked a starboard cabin again. I look forward to reading your review and have no doubt you will have an awesome vacation!!

We cruised on the Allure in 2011 with the same itinerary. I can't wait to get back to her in 78 days!

I look forward to getting pumped up even more by reading your review. Thanks, in advance, for sharing what I'm sure will be a great experience!

we will be on the Allure next Sunday for a b2b cruise! We also live in Colorado, in Louisville. So looking forward to leaving these crazy storms behind and basking in the sun in the Caribbean for 2 weeks!! Thanks for the review- I'm looking forward to a sneak peak! Maybe we'll cross paths as we embark as you disembark!

I'm excited for this especially after a snow storm and 2 tornado warnings in a span of 2 weeks. I'm ready for the cruise on Sunday!!
