  1. About 30 days before sail date the docs will be available along with luggage tags.
  2. We were able to get a cappuccino on Radiance in the morning of turnaround day.
  3. I’m thinking that’s the issue with my password too. But it’s also Celebrity. It’s never happened until this started with everyone earlier this month.
  4. Since we all had the password issues with Royal and Celebrity, I’ve had to change my password once a week. I don’t go in often, so each time I’m having to make a new password! This is on my IPad the web, not the App. Each time I create a new password I Clear my history, thinking maybe that will help. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get this to stop? Again, this is both Royal and Celebrity.
  5. Currently the challenge for me is that I just found out I need a new shoulder….but I have a couple of very special cruises booked that I don’t want to give up, and I can’t see an opening in our cruise schedule anytime soon. Before we both lost our parents, it seems that every time we had a trip booked, one of them was too ill for us to feel comfortable enough to go, or the opposite, our children were having babies! Iknow how hard this is for your wife.
  6. Sounds wonderful! I’m still trying to nudge my DH to do longer B2B cruises….so far we did 27 nights on Odyssey, one was a TA which he thinks are boring. I’ll be following along!
  7. We’ve done multiple crossings from Hawaii to Vancouver, an Eastern TA in the spring and a couple of Western TAs in the fall, as well as an Arctic crossing. Seas can be rough or calm anywhere and anytime. Last October coming back from Rome a couple of days the sea was like glass! And a couple of days it was a bit rocky. Plan to go where you want to go, when you want to go…..for us, we like the fall TAs back to the US from Europe….we would rather gain the extra 6 hours than lose them. In fact we’ll be on Odyssey again in November for the fall TA back to Cape Liberty.
  8. Just regular backpacks….his is Swiss gear, mine is Columbia
  9. We were on the original “Love Boat”, the Pacific Princess in its last year before being sold. Did 7 night NY to Bermuda…..it was the best cruise we’ve ever taken, and not because we were able to get all the way in to St George and Hamilton. It was because of the vibe on the ship and only 680 guests, we were like one big family! And the food was amazing! But that was many years ago. Very good times we had.
  10. We were on Odyssey last year for 27 days for a B2B HolyLand / TA and we each brought ONLY a carryon and backpack. We also spent 3 days prior in Italy. We are D+, so the free bag of laundry each helped with some of the clothes like shorts, workout things, undies and socks, but many of the items we brought - especially all my shirts and my work out clothes - could be washed in the sink and hung to dry in the cabin or on the balcony. I also bought skirts and a couple of lightweight dresses from Ripskirt that I also washed in the sink in the cabin.
  11. We were on Legend to Hawaii back in 2004….. it was our first long cruise (11 nights) and we went with a large group from our neighborhood….. loved that cruise!
  12. I remember seeing a post on FB with pictures of work being done and it appeared to be lots of upgrades. So I’m thinking it looks good enough that we may book a cruise on it!
  13. We don’t eat at chops either anymore. I don’t eat red meat, so I can’t see spending the money, even if we use our BOGO. We prefer a Giovanni’s .
  14. It’s too bad that someone can’t voice their opinion here - even if they feel it’s not a positive one - without others feeling they have to attack that persons opinion. I also feel that the food on Royal isn’t nearly as good as it was years ago, but I havent cruised any other lines in that same time so I can’t compare. Maybe they’ve all changed too. We’ve decided to try other lines now since it looks like Royals focus has changed to the shorter what they advertise as “weekend” cruises. But on the positive side, I haven’t gained any cruise weight in years.
  15. I agree that absolutely Royal’s current target market is young families with kids taking short “weekend” cruises. BUT for those that cruise more than one or two weekends a year, the same cruise with the same destination gets boring and eventually they may want to branch out on different ships that can go places other than Royal’s private islands And possibly those whose children have gotten older, and maybe they have more time, MONEY and availability to cruise, may/will look around to see what else is out there.
  16. Wow, we’ve stayed in suites by t didn’t know that, I’ll remember for next time.
  17. I found that out too, so I always leave them out on the table
  18. I know you all are much more experienced than I am about binoculars. We have a pair that I always take on cruises but they’re not the greatest. We have a few memorable cruises coming up and I want to be able to see nature up close and in focus. So what suggestions do you all have, and what about the single one called monocular? Are they just as good or better? Thanks!
  19. I know and t’s getting annoying. I had the same issue with X too. Very annoying.
  20. We both got locked out of our accounts like so many others and I created a new password on April 12. All was good until today when it said my password is wrong. I tried all the tricks I did last time, but it still says it’s wrong. Is anyone else having this issue. I guess I have to start all over again and create a new password, then I’ll get locked out of the app again. This is very frustrating.
