jerwick Posted May 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2014 Anyone tried cab to Westlake station and then rail to Sea Tac? Does this seem like an option with a 1 pm flight or would it be better to shuttle or cab to airport. Thanks Jerry
Rare 1025cruise Posted May 25, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 25, 2014 IMHO, since you need to get in a taxi anyways, seems more headache than its worth to not just go to the airport.
mapleleaves Posted May 25, 2014 #3 Share Posted May 25, 2014 IMHO, it's a lot of work to save $10. But you have plenty of time, so it's do-able. There's some walking involved at both ends so you need to be able to manage your luggage easily. At Seatac it's an 8-10 minute walk thru the parking garage to reach the terminal. A cab to Westlake is about $20 , and the Light Rail is $2.75 pp for the 40 minute ride. The trains leave every 10 minutes or so. A cab from the pier to Seatac will cost about $45. I think eastsideforhire charges $35. Seatac is very busy in the summer, esp on cruise days so get there 2 hrs befor your departure time. HINT; at Seatac you can use ANY TSA line so if the line closest to your gate is long, go to a diffferent line. There are usually 3 open.

Shuttle Express and Seattle Express will both have buses at the pier. As soon as the buses fill they leave for seatac. I think Shuttle Express is $22pp. Seattle Express is cheaper. Give them a call or check their web site for more info.
