kraiklyn Posted May 27, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2014 Hi there Our flight gets into Copenhagen at 9am but our check in time is between 11:30 and 3:30. Is it possible to drop off our bags at 11:30, have a quick explore of Copenhagen and get back to the ship to check in by 3:30 or do we have to lug our suitcases around with us all morning? This is our first cruise so I don't know how it all works!
cruisead Posted May 27, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 27, 2014 What time does the ship sail? You can drop off your bags, but you must be checked in, and ON the ship no later than 90 minutes before departure.
kraiklyn Posted May 28, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted May 28, 2014 The ship sails at 5. SO it is possible to drop off my bag then check in a couple of hours later?

I thought the 90 minutes was for ships leaving a US port only.

Krazy Kruizers Posted May 29, 2014 #7 Share Posted May 29, 2014 In foreign ports you can drop off your bags early. Just make certain that you are back on the ship before the lifeboat drill -- which is usually about 45 minutes before the ship sails. Ask on your Cruise Line board what time your lifeboat drill will be -- there will have been people there who have done this cruise and can answer your question. But if you just drop your bags off and don't board the ship then 45 minutes is a problem. Most cruise lines require you to be on board 90 minutes or more prior to the start of the cruise.
